Businesses are mostly seen through the lens of financial performance. The workers, consumers, environment, supply chains, ecological footprints all have a vital role. Yet these aspects hardly get covered. Oxfam India partnered with Newsworthy.Studio to bridge the gap through workshops and a digital module on business responsibility as seen beyond profits and revenues.

The Challenge

Address the absence of holistic business responsibility training and resources

The Outcome

Customised business responsibility module on how organisations impact people, communities and the natural world

A Digital Resource on Business Responsibility

Newsworthy.Studio created an all-encompassing digital module and microsite titled ‘Reporting Effectively on Business Responsibility,’ encompassing aspects of gender, inclusion, climate change, labour, and inequity worsened by Covid-19. The digital, repeatable training modules are designed with a learn-at-your-pace approach, and includes detailed how-to video guides on reading balance sheets, understanding compliance portals and navigating data and documents on land, environmental clearances, gender and supply chains. The module was preceded by in-person workshops in Delhi, Mumbai and Raipur conducted by Newsworthy.Studio.
