Centre lived experiences of girls, women and gender minorities in India’s family planning discourse
Eleven long form reported pieces from across India for PARI’s series on women’s health
The stories cover the stigma around infertility, the emphasis on female sterilisation, the lack of ‘male engagement’ in family planning, inadequate rural healthcare systems that too are out of reach for many, unqualified medical practitioners and dangerous childbirths, and requirements for maternal health. Through our work with PARI, we aim to report on these vital topics and drive meaningful conversations around women’s health.
